Hamsa Grief Stones
Thursday, September 25 from 6:30-9 pm
Finding play in grief work, come create your own Grief Stone hamsa, a protective amulet to hold in moments of heartache, stress, and grief.
This immersive evening workshop will begin with a guided vocal toning meditation to release stagnant energies and ground us in our bodies. We will take a moment for private reflections before beginning an active clay meditation, crafting our own Grief Stone hamsas. This evening is an offering to exhale, to ground, to play—allowing us to hold grief and also release it.
About Hamsa Grief Stones:
The hamsa is a palm-shaped symbol that is used as an amulet for protection, warding off the evil eye in both Jewish and Muslim cultures. A Grief Stone squeeze is like an embodied hamsa. Grief Stones began as a simple coping gesture and have morphed into a ritual object for grief and heartache. In this workshop, participants will play with clay and beads to create a personal Grief Stone hamsa, a protective amulet to hold in moments of heartache and grief.
