to honor our mommas*
(without being performative),
To find aliveness in a day that
can feel heavy, sticky and just hard,
To be present with our grief, our love
and everything in between through weaving
We’ll keep our hands busy
so that our minds find quiet
And our hearts can soften
And find comfort in shared company.
*Momma as defined by your own definition of a mothering caretaker in your life.
Our Day Will Include:
Guided somatic and tactile meditations
Step-by-step weaving demos
A workshop kit with all materials + loom to keep
Time for reflection and journaling
Bevys + snacks
A weaving you’ll make to bring home! or gift!
Workshop Details:
Date: Saturday, May 9, 2026
Time: 12 - 4:30 pm
Where: Private Art Studio in West Philly. Location will be provided upon registration
Accessibility: The studio is located on street level. There is one step to access the bathroom.
Capacity is limited to maintain an intimate environment. No previous weaving experience needed!
Price & Registration:
Cost: $200
Buddy Discount: $175 pp
Cancellation Policy: 30% refund up to 14 days before event start date. Ticket is transferable to use towards purchasing artwork or another workshop.
Workshop attendees get first access to limited commission slots and private consultations.
