Join us for a week of weaving, stitching, and creating by hand! Our Summer Art Camp offers a fun-filled, intimate environment for kids to explore weaving and hand-sewing through projects rooted in curiosity, creativity, sustainability, and self-expression. From colorful loom weavings to stuffed creatures and embroidered treasures, every project gives forgotten materials a second life. Come ready to play, experiment, and leave with a collection of handmade work your kiddo will be proud to show off!
What We’ll Do:
Week 1: Weaving (August 3-7)
Weave wild, colorful artworks, bookmarks and baskets on your very own loom
Create fantastical sculptural weavings with branches, wire, beads and found treasures
Share our art with friends + family at an end-of-the-week showcase!
Week 2: Hand-Sewing (August 17-21)
Stitch and embroider a colorful hoop art project
Design and sew your very own stuffed creature — as cute or weird as you want!
Share our art with friends + family at an end-of-the-week showcase!
Who this is for:
Kids ages 7 - 10 years old, eager to learn and explore their artistic side in a supportive and engaging environment.
Limited to 8 participants!
Camp Details:
Dates: August 3-7 & August 17-21
Drop-Off: 8:45 - 9:00 AM
Camp Hours: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Late Pick-Up: Until 4:00 PM (+ $25)
West Philly location will be provided upon registration
Accessibility: The studio is located on street level. There is one step to access the bathroom.
