Join us for afternoon art classes, where young artists can explore their creativity with painting, mark making and mixed-media projects! Each session is designed to inspire and engage, fostering artistic skills while building confidence and friendships in a small group intimate environment.
We’ll play with a variety of mediums and materials including watercolors and collaging, learning about color, texture and form. Projects are rooted in curiosity, creativity, sustainability, and self-expression. Hands-on making is a great way to soothe nervous systems, nurture curiosity and gain new confidence through the satisfaction of making tangible creations. Our class will culminate in an end of year showcase!
What We’ll Do:
Explore color and texture with watercolor painting
Create collages and sculptures using recycled magazines, fabric scraps, and found materials
Combine painting, collage, and texture to create wild mixed media masterpieces
Make cool things!
Who this is for:
Kids ages 7 - 11 years old, beginners, and curious makers looking for a creative outlet in a fun and friendly setting. Capacity is limited to 8 students.
Workshop Details:
Wednesdays 3:30 - 5:30 pick up 5:30-6pm

West Philly location will be provided upon registration
Accessibility: The studio is located on street level. There is one step to access the bathroom.
