GRIEF WEAVING | WOVEN ARTWORK | SUNDAY NOV 22
Grief Weaving is a soft way to be with your grief. Grief comes in all forms and sizes and changes season to season but the weight of it can feel unbearable, especially in our death-phobic grief-avoidant society.
This half-day retreat is a space to be with your grief. To cultivate intuitive flow, quiet our minds and be in active meditation through our hands. To be in company with those who get it, without having to explain it in words.
Bring your sentimental fabrics, or cloths you’re ready to upcycle and we’ll transform the literal and figurative fibers of your grief into a woven work of art — a testament to both your immense tangible grief, and your choice to seek aliveness.
OUR DAY WILL INCLUDE:
Guided somatic and tactile meditations
Step-by-step weaving demos
All tools needed to make a small wall hanging (and a loom that’s yours to keep for an extra fee)
Time for reflection and journaling
Teas + snacks
A weaving you’ll make to bring home! or gift!
WHAT TO BRING :
Old clothes, fabric, and ephemera to transform into art
A journal
*Spaces are very limited*
This is a tender, intimate space to regulate the nervous system and honor all forms of grief—personal or collective, named or unnamed. All are welcome.
No weaving experience needed.

“I took Meirav’s grief weaving workshop after my grandpa died, when I was looking for a gentle, tangible, somatic space to process and feel. Meirav’s workshop was exactly that. She brought a depth of kindness and rootedness to her role as teacher and guide. I felt a sense of genuine safety, as she invited me to grieve and create.”

“The workshop with Meirav was heart-opening and mind-opening. The tactile experience of working with clay was both playful and tender. Our conversations were inquisitive and sensitive. I appreciate her work and her intention to allow grief to be a presence in our lives.”
