A 4-week intro to embroidery workshop for beginners and curious makers to practice the art of mending. W'e’ll learn how to bring new life to worn garments or clothing that’s calling for an upgrade through hand-sewing and embellishment processes in an intimate fiber studio. Co-taught by Dot Jackson and Meirav Ong.
What we’ll learn:
A collection of embroidery stitches
Methods of patching and repairing
Beadwork and experimental embellishment techniques
Come with a well-loved shirt, a denim jacket that needs sprucing or anything in between and leave with a cloth that feels brand new, and a toolkit of knowledge so you can do this again and again on any fabric you choose!

Thursdays 7-9 pm
Dates: 5/7, 5/14, 5/28, 6/4
West Philly - Exact location will be provided upon registration
Accessibility: The studio is located on street level. There is one step to access the bathroom.
